RMG Rail Mounted Container Gantry Crane

Application

Rail mounted container gantry crane is appropriate for handling, loading and unloading ISO container and railway wide containers. With multiple steel wheels and electricity power, it consists of gantry mechanism, trolley assembly, gantry frame, power system and special container spreader.

The rail type mounted container gantry cranes are divided into different forms based on the structure of the main beam and supporting legs.
(1) The double cantilever track container gantry crane requires the container to pass through the inner space of the two side door legs. So the width direction clearance inside the door legs is relatively large. Depending on the form of main beam, double cantilever RMG generally adopts a “U” shape with the upper part of the door legs. And there is a “π” shape with the upper part of the door legs. The structure of the cantilever track type is relatively simple because there is no need passing through the space inside the door legs.
(2) Compared to shore mounted container cranes, RMG gantry crane have lower trolley speeds and generally do not have anti roll devices. If users request to reduce operational intensity and improve productivity, we could install anti roll devices. For rope type lifting mechanisms, roll reduction could achieve by applying damping to the ropes. For rigid lifting mechanisms, roll reduction generally achieves through rigid components.
